In what seems to be one of the busiest days of the year for every NBA team, the narrative was no different for the Sacramento Kings this year at the NBA's trade deadline, which came a little earlier this season.

The Kings started the day off by finally trading away point guard George Hill, who has been in rumors for weeks. The massive trade included three teams -- The Sacramento Kings, the Cleveland Cavaliers and the Utah Jazz. The trade looked a little like this:

Sacramento Receives:

•Joe Johnson

•Miami's 2020 second round pick

•$3.2 Million in cash

•Rights to Dimitrios Agravanis

Cleveland Receives:

•Rodney Hood

•Rights to Arturas Gudaitis

Utah Receives:

•Derrick Rose

•Jae Crowder

George Hill averaged 10.3 points, 2.8 assists and 2.7 rebounds in 43 games with the Kings. He shot 46.9% from the field and 45.3% from three.

Iman Shumpert brings more depth to the already stacked two-guard position for the Kings. Shumpert can also play the small forward spot, which is more than likely to happen during his time with Sacramento. Shumpert has battled injuries for the better part of the season. On December 1, 2017, Iman was ruled out for 6-8 weeks due to having surgery done on his left knee. He returned to action on January 23, 2018 against the Spurs. Shumpert is averaging 4.4 points, 2.9 rebounds, and 1.2 assists in 14 games this season and 37.9% from the field.

Joe Johnson, who the Kings also received in this trade from Utah will be bought out by the team according to multiple reports. The Kings also received Miami's 2020 second round pick, that puts the Kings at two owned second round picks in the 2020 NBA Draft.

The Kings' next move occurred around 10:30am PT when the Kings agreed to trade second year guard Malachi Richardson to the Toronto Raptors in exchange for forward Bruno Caboclo.

Toronto Receives:

Malachi was drafted by the Kings 22nd overall in the 2016 NBA Draft. Malachi had a few breakout games in his rookie season before getting hurt before the All-Star break. He remained out for the remainder of the season. Coming into this season, Richardson saw a diminished role thanks to the arrival of Bogdan Bogdanovic as well as Buddy Hield joining the team. He spent a lot of time in Reno with the G-League's Bighorns and battled a couple of injuries as well.

Early reports suggested the Kings would cut Bruno Caboclo as well, but that changed as the Kings now expect to keep Caboclo on the team. Caboclo was the 20th overall pick by the Raptors in the 2014 NBA draft. He has spent most of his career so far in the G-League with the Raptors' affiliate team, the Raptors 905. In 25 games and only 113 minutes on the main roster, Bruno has averaged just 1.1 points, 0.6 rebounds and 0.2 assists. Bruno also has an 8'0 wingspan giving him multiple comparisons to NBA MVP candidate, Giannis Antetokounmpo.

The final move of the day (as of 4:15pm on 2/8/18), was the Kings waiving their 13th overall pick in the 2016 NBA draft. Georgios Papagiannis, a 7'1 center from Greece who is only 20 years old spent a better part of his time with the franchise in the G-League. The Kings picking Papagiannis with the 13th pick made most people scratch their heads and wonder why? Vlade Divac and the Kings made it clear he would be a longer term project, but the Kings seemed to have thought enough was enough after a year and a half. Georgios averaged 4.2 points, 3.2 rebounds, 0.6 assists and 0.6 blocks in his 38 games on the main roster with the Kings. There's still a very good chance the Kings decide to sign Papagiannis to a full time G-League contract if no other team picks him up first.

The full day of transactions for the Kings looks like this:

Incoming:

•Joe Johnson (Waived)

Bruno Caboclo

•2020 2nd round pick (via Mia)

•$3.2 million in cash

•Rights to Dimitrios Agravanis

Outgoing:

•Rights to Arturas Gudaitis
