NBA All-Star DeMarcus Cousins was drafted by the Kings with the 5th overall pick in the 2010 NBA Draft. On September 30, 2013, Cousins signed a 4-year, $62 Million extension with the Kings. DeMarcus Cousins, sometimes known by his nickname "Boogie" is regarded as one of the greatest Sacramento-Era Kings players of all time. On February 20, 2017, DeMarcus was traded to the New Orleans Pelicans with Omri Casspi, in exchange for Buddy Hield, Langston Galloway, Tyreke Evans, a 2017 1st round and 2nd round draft pick.
