Kings extend contract of GM Vlade Divac, pick up option on Head Coach Dave Joerger

The Kings released a press release Wednesday announcing the extension of team General Manager Vlade Divac, as well as the picking up of the 4th year option on Head Coach Dave Joerger's contract. This will keep both men under contract to the Kings through the 2019-20 NBA season.
Vlade Divac was hired by the Kings in March of 2015 as vice president of basketball and franchise operations. He was later promoted to vice president of basketball operations and general manager in August of that same year, officially giving him full control of the team. Divac signed a multi-year deal with the Kings to remain VP of basketball operations and GM in March of 2016.
Dave Joerger was let go as head coach of the Memphis Grizzlies on May 9, 2016 and was hired by Divac and the Kings just 2 days later. Joerger coached his team to a 32-50 record in his first season with the Kings as head coach.
