The Sacramento Kings could not handle Dennis Smith Jr. tonight as he torched the Kings from beginning to end, finishing with 25 pts, 7 reb, 2 ast, and 3 stl as he led the Mavs to a 83-76 win over Sacramento. The Mavs are now 4-0 in Vegas as they move on. The Kings actually got off to a hot start, leading 10-1. Justin Jackson was easily the best player on the floor for Sacramento, finishing with 25 pts, 4 reb, 4 ast, and 2 stl. It was not enough, however, as the Kings could never close the gap as the Mavericks had an 8 point lead after the 1st and never lost the lead for the rest of the contest.
Frank Mason (Ankle) and Buddy Hield (rest) did not play. Kings #1 pick De'Aaron Fox only played 7 minutes as he was still bothered by a lingering ankle issue.
The Kings will finish their 2017 Summer League tomorrow night against the Phoenix Suns. The 2 teams met last Friday in both teams 1st games' and Phoenix took the W 89-85. The Kings will look for revenge as they wrap up summer league play.
