Oh what could've been.

What: Kings vs. Los Angeles Lakers

When: 7:30 P.M. PT

Where: Thomas and Mack Center (Las Vegas, NV)

How To Watch: NBA TV

Tonight the Kings take on the Lakers in their third game of Summer League. Tonight was also supposed to be "Fox/Ball 2" as the second matchup between De'Aaron and Lonzo. According to Sam Amick of USA Today, Ball will be sitting out tonights contest with a groin injury.

It looks like Kings fans aren't the only ones that are disappointed Lonzo is out.

I find it funny that Lonzo isn't playing tonight. He looked fine in his last game, putting up a triple-double, but when it's time to put your big boy pants on and play some real competition, he's out. I'm not questioning if he's really injured or not, but it's convenient for the "Big Baller Brand" if he sat this one out to avoid further embarrassment courtesy of De'Aaron Fox.

Nevertheless, there is a game tonight. The Kings will be taking on the Lakers with or without Lonzo.

Lonzo won't be the only Laker missing tonight, as Kyle Kuzma and Josh Hart will also sit out, in addition to Brandon Ingram who will be out for the rest of Summer League.

This game is Sacramento's for the taking. Both teams are winless and hungry, but the Lakers are missing all of their main players. If the young Kings can make their shots tonight, this game will be over quick.
