According to Chris Haynes and Marc J. Spears of ESPN, the Kings have offered a 4-year, $106 million max-contract to restricted free agent Otto Porter.
Otto Porter, a 23-year old small forward, is coming off his best season in the NBA where he averaged 13.4 points on 51.6% shooting and 43.4% from three. He also grabbed 6.4 rebounds in 80 games as a starter for the Washington Wizards last season.
If Porter signs the offer sheet with the Kings, the Washington Wizards have the right to match the Kings' offer. They will have 48 hours to do so starting on July 6th. If the Wizards do in fact choose to match the offer, Otto Porter will become the highest paid player on the Wizards' roster.
The Brooklyn Nets are rumored to be trying to secure a meeting with Otto Porter. They have the cap space to match the Kings offer. If the Kings do end up landing Otto Porter, he will almost certainly become the starting small forward for the team.
