NBA Releases 2017 Las Vegas Summer League Schedule

The Sacramento Kings will once again participate in the NBA Las Vegas Summer League tournament. The tournament style event, which was started in 2013, will feature 24 NBA teams. The league announced the schedule today, for this year's games.

The Kings, who won the tournament in 2014, will start Summer League with their first of at least five games on Friday, July 7th against the Phoenix Suns at 7:30pm PT on ESPN2. The Suns own the fourth pick in this year's draft and will go against the Kings and their fifth pick. The Kings will then wait a couple days before playing their second game on Sunday, July 9th against the Memphis Grizzlies at 7:00pm PT on NBA TV.

The very next night (Monday, July 10th) at 7:30pm PT on NBA TV, the Kings will face the Los Angeles Lakers and their second pick in this year's draft. This could potentially be the first time we see a matchup of UCLA point guard Lonzo Ball and Kentucky point guard De'Aaron Fox. That of course is considering everything goes right for Sacramento in the draft.

After those three games have been played, the Kings will play in a "playoff" game. The opponent and time will be determined at a later date based on seeding in those first three games. If the Kings win, they move on, if they lose, they'll play one last summer league game.

Rosters have yet to be announced for summer league, although the Kings are expected to have three rookies on the team this year. It's very possible you'll also see the likes of Georgios Papagiannis, Malachi Richardson, Skal Labissiere, Buddy Hield, and Isaiah Cousins participate in the games as well.
