What's the Deal With Anthony Tolliver?

The Kings signed Anthony Tolliver this offseason to a 2-year, $16M contract, with the hope in mind he can come off the bench and provide a spark with his 3-point shooting. So far this season, that hasn't been the case whatsoever.
Not only has Tolliver's 3-point shooting been absent, his time on the court has been very little as well. Through 19 games for the Kings, Tolliver has appeared in only 8 of them. His per-game averages are sad to look out as well. Anthony has averaged 12 MPG, 2.8 PPG and has only made 3 shots from beyond the arc.
So the question arises, why isn't Anthony Tolliver being given the opportunity to play? It's no secret the Kings have plenty of depth at the forward positions. With Matt Barnes and Omri Casspi occupying the majority of the minutes when Rudy Gay sits, where does Tolliver fit in? Coach Dave Joerger has tinkered his lineups a few times this season, so there isn't reason to believe Tolliver won't get a shot to earn his minutes as the season goes on. That's what happened to Omri Casspi. After a couple DNP-CD's, Casspi has now re-entered Coach Joerger's rotation as he has earned 27/16/18/28 minutes in his last 4 games.
We will have to see how Tolliver is worked into the lineup as the season goes on, but his shooting off the bench is something the Kings could definitely use. As for now, Kings fans will have to be patient and wait and see how Dave Joerger decides to play this out and how long Tolliver will continue to be a bench warmer.
