The Kings are coming into this game on a 4-game losing streak. This game doesn't get any easier for the Kings as they'll be facing the team in first place of the Atlantic division. The Raptors are coming off of a win against the Nuggets in OT on Friday night in Denver. The Kings and Raptors played earlier this season in Toronto where the Kings would defeat the Raptors 96-91.
Lethal Backcourt
The Raptors have one of the best backcourts in the league with Kyle Lowry at the point and DeMar DeRozan at the 2. Both players are NBA All-Stars and they are both coming off of a successful gold medal Summer with the USA Men's Olympic basketball team. Kyle Lowry is in a contract year with Toronto and he's averaging 18.8 points, 5.3 rebounds, and a near career high 7.3 assists.
Derail DeRozan
DeMar DeRozan has been one of, if not the best shooting guard in the NBA so far this season. He's the league's leading scorer averaging an insane 33.0 points to go along with 5.0 rebounds and 3.4 assists. He made it into the history books Friday night, scoring 30 points. Since the 1963-64 NBA season, only five players have scored 30 or more points in 10 of the first 12 games of a season. Those players were Rick Barry (1966-67), Tiny Archibald (1972-73), Alex English (1985-86), and Michael Jordan (1986-87). I don't know about you, but that sounds like elite company to me. The Kings are going to have to find a way to stop DeMar DeRozan or this game won't end well for them.
