Kings send rookies to Reno

Rookies Skal Labissiere, Malachi Richardson, and Georgios Papagiannis have all been sent to the Reno Bighorns their D-League affiliate team. This move doesn't come much as a surprise since these rookies have seen some but not consistent playing time thus far on the season. You don't see the Kings often sending their first round picks down to Reno this early on. All four of Sacramento's rookies are all with the Bighorns right now and will look to seek playing time to better their game.

The Kings didn't have room in the rotation for these rookies to play significant minutes and sending them to Reno is going to be a really good opportunity for them. They will most likely play big minutes over there considering the Sacramento Kings have full control of the Reno Bighorns. Reno is being coached by head coach Derrick Martin (former King). Also to note, the Reno Bighorns have a all the Kings young prospects including Lamar Patterson and they will all have their chance to see the floor and have the chance to develop their game very well.

Reno opens up their season Sunday, November 13th against the Reno Grande Valley Pipers at 4:00 PST and can be seen on Facebook Live. It will be very interesting to see how well the Rookies adjust their game to playing in the D-League and how well they develop their game as the D-League season get's underway.
