The Sacramento Kings have claimed 24-year old Lamar Patterson off of Waivers. Patterson last played for the Atlanta Hawks last season and didn't get much playing time. The move to waive Patterson by the Hawks was made to clear up enough cap space for the signings of Kent Bazemore and Dwight Howard. In the minutes that he played in he put up numbers you'd expect a player to average while playing not many minutes a game. Lamar Patterson averaged 2.4 PPG, 1.4 REB, 1.1 AST in 11.3 MPG. He is a Shooting Guard / Small Forward. He also had some brief stints with the Austin Spurs and Canton Charge of the NBA D-League. This isn't an addition to the roster that'll make an impact to this current team but it won't hurt it either. It's hard to say what kind of role he will have with this Sacramento Kings team but I'm sure he won't get a lot of playing time in the rotation but we will have to wait and see how he is utilized.
