What: Kings vs. Houston Rockets

When: 3:30 P.M. PT

Where: Thomas and Mack Center, Las Vegas, NV

How to Watch: ESPN3 (online stream)

Things of Note

- After an atrocious performance in their summer league opener, the Kings look to rebound against the Houston Rockets in game #2. It (probably) can't get any worse than the abomination that was Friday night. The Kings tied the record for the least amount of points scored in an NBA Summer League game with 47. Literally 47. The other team who shares the record? The Chinese national team who originally set it in 2008. Literally China. So yeah, Friday night was not a good one.

- The Kings added David Stockton to their summer league roster yesterday. With second round draft pick Isaiah Cousins out with an injured groin, the Kings were forced to add another ball handler and Stockton brings familiarity and experience to a team that looked completely lost on Friday against the Raptors.

- Georgios Papagiannis reportedly got a precautionary MRI on his knee Saturday and the results showed no structural damage. He later stated that it was his hamstring that was actually giving him trouble and that he hopes to play today.

Player to Watch

The 28th overall pick in the 2016 NBA Draft fell out of the lottery and the Kings felt that the opportunity to grab him was too good to pass up, even with their glut of bigs. Against Toronto, Skal showed flashes of the immense potential that made him a big time college recruit. He stood out as an energizer for a mostly lackadaisical team. His activity around the rim on both ends of the court was a bright spot and he was even able to show off his handle some late in the 4th quarter.

Pegged as a project player that still needs a ton of development moving forward, the summer league may be the only opportunity for Skal to log extended minutes this year and show the coaches and fans what he can do. He showed a lot on Friday night and hopefully he can build on that performance against Houston.
