The Sacramento Kings are willing to trade Rudy Gay according to Jason Jones of SacBee.com.

Before the pacers traded for Thaddeus Young they spoke to the Sacramento Kings about a possibly trading for the 29 year old soon to be 30 year old. This doesn't come as much as a surprise due to the fact that the Kings have been rumored to trade Gay for awhile now. It was only a matter of time before the rumors of the Kings wanting to trade Rudy Gay heated up.

Outside of Demarcus Cousins the Kings go to scorer for the most recent couple years was Rudy since they acquired him from Toronto. In his 2015-2016 campaign Gay averaged 17.2 PPG, 6.5 RPG, and 1.7 APG on the year. While shooting 46.3% while shooting 34.4% from the three point line. Despite the three point percentage being low, Rudy still had decent field goal percentage numbers. He can still contribute to a team in some aspect.

If teams do decide to trade for the former UConn Huskie, they willing only have to pay $13 million for one year. That isn't too bad to pay due to some of these free agents getting paid a lot. Although teams might want to pay for a lot from him because they are only getting one more year of Rudy before he hits the free agency waters.

Sacramento has been rumored to have significant interest in Dion Waiters and have a scheduled a meeting with Waiters some time this weekend in Sacramento. Also, they have shown interest in Courtney Lee, Allen Crabbe, and hometown boy Ryan Anderson.
