Sacramento Kings are gauging interest in Dion Waiters

The Sacramento Kings are interested in Oklahoma City Thunder restricted Free Agent Dion Waiters, according to Michael Scotto of SheridanHoops.com.

This doesn't come as much as a surprise because of the Kings' glaring need at the Shooting Guard position. After the Thunder recently traded for Guard Victor Oladipo, the chances of them bringing back Waiters are diminishing, especially with Andre Robertson serving as Oladipo's back up now assuming he's placed into that role. Dion Waiters averaged 9.8 PPG, 2.6 RPG, 2.0 AST, and 1.0 STL, 27.6 minutes per game on the season. He did all this on a dismal 39.9 Field Goal Percentage and also shot 35.8 from beyond the arc, which were close to career lows for him. This reflected a down year for him and his last few years in the league have been not very productive but still has some room to grow. We will stay tuned to see if the Kings continue to pursue him as the beginning of Free Agency quickly approaches.
