The Sacramento Kings have announced that they will once again participate in the Las Vegas edition of NBA Summer League. The Kings will begin to assemble their roster before the games begin on Friday, July 8, 2016. The Kings will play at least 5 games in the tournament and may play more based on how well they do in the 4th and 5th games.
This will be the fourth year in the current tournament style format at the Las Vegas Summer League. Back in 2014, the Kings ended up winning their first and so far only NBA Summer League championship. Ray McCallum led that team and it is expected that this year’s team will be lead by the Kings’ 2016 first round pick.
The first game for the Kings will be against the Toronto Raptors on Friday, July 8th at 7:00pm (PT) at the Cox Pavilion. The second opponent for the Kings is the Houston Rockets on Sunday, July 10th at 3:30pm (PT) at the Thomas & Mack Center. The third team the Kings will play is the New Orleans Pelicans on Monday, July 11th at 7:00pm (PT) at the Cox Pavilion. The 4th, 5th and any game beyond that is still unknown at this time. Tournament seeding will determine those game times and opponents at a later date. The tournament for all teams will end on Monday, July 18th.
